Made a large batch of Rasberry jam last week using rasberries picked from a fruit farm at Upleadon. The taste of summer in a jar. Served alongside our othe home made jams and marmalades at breakfast.

Linton Beer and Music Festival - This weekend saw the 10th anniversary Linton Music Festival. This event never ceases to amaze. That such a small village and Inn can host such an amazing event. A line up of over 15 bands – fantastic music and a full capacity crowd. Our guests enjoyed the whole weekend of music at the festival and returned to Eastview to enjoy a glass of wine in the garden. An opportunity to get all the candles and lanterns out on such a sultry Sunday night. We were treated with the site of the Barn owl who often flies over the garden. A good evening and cheers to new friends. (They promise to come back for next year’s event).

14th June 2010

Made the first batch of strawberry jam using strawberries from the garden today. Served it up with home made scones and whipped cream for the lucky guests who arrived today. Delicious.

Eastview has reached number 1 of 23 B & B's in Ross-on-Wye, on Trip Advisor. This compliments the Quality in Tourism Silver award given to Eastview in April. Sue and Jon are pleased that their hard work and commitment to customer care has been recognised and thank all their customers for their kind feedback.

Sue and Jon are delighted that the Quality in Tourism Assessor has given a Silver award for Bed and Breakfast and a Gold Award for Self Catering, at Eastview.
